【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesallowablelimitsforthevarioustypesofsurfacediscontinuitiesthatmayoccurduringthemanufactureandprocessingofmetric-seriesnutswithnominaldiameters5mmandlargerandinch-seriesnutswithnominaldiameters1/4in.andlarger.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSI(metric)orinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.3Whentheengineeringrequirementsoftheapplicationnecessitatecontrolofsurfacediscontinuitiesonnuts,thepurchasershallspecifyconformancetothisASTMspecificationintheoriginalinquiryandpurchaseorder.1.3.1Whentheengineeringrequirementsoftheapplicationnecessitatethatsurfacediscontinuitiesonnutsbecontrolledwithinlimitscloserthanthosespecifiedinthisspecification,thepurchasershallspecifytheapplicablelimitsintheoriginalinquiryandpurchaseorder.1.4Theallowablelimitsestablishedinthisspecificationformetricnuts,withnominaldiameters5to24mminclusive,areessentiallyidenticalwithrequirementsgiveninISO/DIS6157/II.TherearenoISOstandardsforsurfacediscontinuitiesonmetric-seriesnutswithnominaldiameterslargerthan24mmoronanyinch-seriesnuts.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
