【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoprovidesimplifiedandeconomicalmeansforgatheringcomparativeresearchdataontheflexuralbondstrengthdevelopedwithdifferenttypesofmasonryunitsandmortarorforthepurposeofcheckingjobqualitycontrol(materialsandworkmanship).Note18212;Thesetestmethodsarenotintendedforuseinestablishingdesignstresses.Forthispurpose,MethodsE72shouldbeused.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverdeterminationoftheflexuralbondstrengthofunreinforcedmasonryassemblages.Twoproceduresareprovided:1.1.1TestMethodA8212;Simplysupportedbeamwiththird-pointloading.1.1.2TestMethodB8212;Simplysupportedbeamwithuniformloading.1.2Thesetestmethodscovertheapplicationofthetestsusingeitherinch-poundorSIunits.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
